Following the success of recent single Ur Type via Circus Recordings, Martin Badder teams up with skyrocketing producer Mark Jenkyns for new single Hideout alongside singer-songwriter Liz Cass on Gorgon City’s REALM label.
Martin Badder is undeniably causing a stir on the scene with his consistent BBC R1 support in recent months. Most recently, his latest smash "Ur Type" via Circus Recordings saw Jaguar premiere the single on her BBC Radio 1 Introducing whilst landing plays from Danny Howard.
Meanwhile, Mark Jenkyns’ accolades include his "Sirens" EP via Hottrax and "Soulfood" via Hot Creations smashing the Beatport Top 10. Continuing to make his mark, the launch of his new label Name Dropper saw tracks 1983 and 2020’s Frequency land support from Annie Mac and Danny Howard on BBC R1.
Together they join forces with rising star Liz Cass, who’s vocals have graced releases on the likes of DFTD, Get Physical, Anjunadeep and more. Recently showcasing her in demand voice on Hot Since 82’s Eye of the Storm, the pair earned plays on both Pete Tong and Danny Howard’s BBC R1 shows. Also being recognised as a singer-songwriter in her own right, BBC Introducing have heavily supported her solo career as she continues to rise above the ranks.
Having already crossed paths on various projects, Martin Badder, Mark Jenkyns and Liz Cass now combine their triple threat talent on Hideout. Merging techno fusions with hypnotic progressions and futuristic riffs, initial inspiration for the track stemmed from the birth of Martin’s daughter:
“After teaming up with Mark we decided to write a club track with substance, I had an initial electro idea with a few lyrics (I’m no lyricist) that I’d written about my daughter the day she was born. Liz turned the simple lyric idea into a whole song.” Amplified by the haunting vocals from Liz, Hideout is packed with raw emotion making for a stunning dance gem.
