Hidden Face returns to IN / ROTATION with a gripping two-track EP, 'Anxiety.'
After delivering last year's mesmerizing double-sided effort, 'Heartbreak / Nightmare,' the French sensation known as Hidden Face returns to the fold with a true-to-form follow-up in the shape of his 'Anxiety' EP. The two-tracker is a deep, brooding affair with its titular cut driving through a seizing soundscape of though-provoking synthwork and a propulsive progression. Meanwhile, the B-side "Talk to Me Again" channels a more ethereal approach, with forlorn vocals being carried on the back of wishful melody lines and emotive textures. The titular offering has garnered early support from household names from the likes of A-Trak, Anna Lunoe, Don Diablo, Kyle Watson and more.
The release holds a special place in Hidden Face’s heart, with the creation of both tracks allowing him to reach a sudden breakthroughs in his personal life. According to him, the EP is here to teach us that “nothing can get in the way of it, and how it will enter your life." Music can be a cathartic experience for most, and the ‘Anxiety’ EP will surely resonant with those grappling with the overwhelming state of dealing with fear and anxiousness.
Since emerging over a decade over, Hidden Face has been honing his craft while experimenting with various genres from deep house, electro, future house and drum & bass. His discog speaks volumes about his versatility, having previous landed outings on mau5trap, Armada, Lowly, Uprise and more. His emotive and melodic approach has made his sound extremely accessible both on and off the dancefloor.
