San Bernardino County is preparing to use the rave hub of SoCal, the NOS Events Center, as an emergency hospital. More than 4,000 new cases were reported in the last two weeks.“We are beginning, for the first time, to move into what we refer to as surge capacity,” Dr. Troy Pennington, an emergency room doctor at Arrowhead Regional. Per a report on Friday, the county reported more than 11,000 cases and 248 deaths since the pandemic. began.
The furious spike in cases comes in part from an increase in testing, but public health officials also attribute the problem to due to protests and people going out for Memorial Day Weekend. Several people around the country are also still convinced without evidence that the virus is a political hoax, refusing to wear masks in public and potentially increasing the risk of spread from asymptomatic carriers. “People are dying. I don’t know what’s fake about that,” says local resident David Badivangia. I don’t wanna be any part of making it worse.”
While Governor Newsom has only reinstated stay-at-home orders for a county in San Diego, other states have re-closed businesses or issued strict county-wide mask-wearing regulations. On Friday, San Bernardino was placed on the state’s watch list alongside Contra Costa, Fresno, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and ten others. If the stress on the hospital system continues to increase, the state could recommend that businesses shut down once again.
The U.S. went from downward trending cases like the rest of the world to a sudden spike that may become more severe as businesses reopen. The European Union is due to restricting the U.S. from travel to the region because the virus has not been contained as a whole. Several countries are down to the triple digits, including Germany, France, and Italy, one of the hardest-hit countries when the pandemic began.SOURCE Share0Share0Share0Share0

Headbangers across the world! The sad news has finally arrived. Excision just announced that both Lost Lands and Bass Canyon have officially been rescheduled t0 2021. Due to the uncertainty of where we will be at with COVID-19 in the future, and keeping headbangers safety in mind as the number one priority the difficult decision had to be made. As far as the lineup no announcements have been made yet on any adjustments as of now.
Bass Canyon is now taking place on August 20th – 22nd, 2021 and Lost Lands has been postponed to September 24th – 26th 2021. All ticket holders will be able to keep their ticket and have it roll over for next year’s dates or they have 30 days to request a full refund. The refund window is from June 26th to July 27th and the refunds will be processed by Front Gate 30 days after the deadline. If our decision to keep your ticket no action needs to be done on your part. For those who are on payment plans, payments will be resuming February 2021.
On the bright side, fans should expect some awesome live-streams coming their way this year. Looks like the only festival that did make it back is Couch Lands and even that isn’t the same.

DJ Snake is the best person to ask for a banger to get our minds stabilized in the middle of a worldwide crisis. His latest single Trust Nobody recalls the raw energy that put him on the map in the first place, with enough extra grittiness to show the artist’s evolution over the years. Some lucky souls had the chance to jam to it pre-lockdown when it was just an ID. To celebrant the official release, he retweeted some fans raging to it live. Hopefully, it won’t be long before we’re feeling the bass from that song as well; for now, stream it via your platform of choice today.

Beyond Wonderland’s first run in the Gorge Amphitheater was celebrated digitally. With a new setup and novel slew of artists, the show featured an audiovisual experience that’s still relatively unrivaled in this period of festival streaming. The weekend popped off with 3lau, Good Times Ahead, Carnage, Mitis, Ghastly, Meduza, SAYMYNAME, Dash Berlin, Mitis, and a special set from Testpilot among several others. YehMe2 took the opportunity to highlight the civil uprising in favor of Black lives with his visuals, some of which were censored. With a small light at the end of this pandemic’s tunnel, it’s nice to know we can still get a great jam at home while we wait.
Check out all the sets below.

June you’ve been a warm one but nothing kicks off summer like that July heat in the West Coast. For those missing the pool party fun, Wet Republic, the ultra pool at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, is next to open its pool doors! On July 2nd you can start getting your pool summer fun on with of course some new CDC rules to follow. This is following the Marquee Pool opening that happened in June with of course new regulations to follow per the CDC’s recommendations. So what are some of these new changes? The new hours of operation will be from Thursday – Sunday from 11am to 9pm. There is no general admission available you must make a reservation ahead of time so check out their website for booking information. From what we see online it ranges from a variety of different group packages so call up the squad it’s Vegas time.
Personally, we won’t be attending any of these pool parties in Vegas as COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the country. So we’ll be sitting this one out but if you do plan on attending please make sure to wear a mask and wash your hands.
With a multi-million dollar architectural and state-of-the-art immersive audio-visual revamp completed earlier this year, Wet Republic’s bungalows, deluxe cabanas, and daybeds are available for reservations with bottle service packages served. The venue’s renovation offers guests two new plunge pools spanning nearly 100 feet in length, ten upgraded cabanas along with 12 modernized bungalows each including spacious seating and a giant flat-screen TV and additional furniture upgrades.
We have been preparing extensively under guidance from public health experts to develop a plan that will allow us to welcome you back safely. Our safety plan puts your health and safety at the center of all we do. It is a comprehensive, multi-layered approach. We have moved to a paperless menu system via a scannable QR code from your phone, tables spaciously separated practicing social distancing and a rigorous cleaning plan will also be implemented.

Live Nation just announced ”Live From The Drive-In:” The first experience that could see several concerts that’ll bring live music back to society. In a 30 second video, one can observe the ideal vision for the event in regards to a prime party experience with proper social distancing. These events will have a space to park as well as an equally-sized half of the space to tailgate and dance around. Groups will be around others but still far enough not to risk being exposed to a virus. This first round of shows will be in St. Louis, Nashville, and Indianapolis. This isn’t your brand new “Car Rave” that you’ve seen around the internet lately as performers Brad Paisley, Nelly, Darius Rucker, Pink Floyd Tribute Experience El Monstero, and more will be in charge of the live entertainment.
Spaces for guests will be nine feet apart, meaning there will be even more social distancing in place. In addition to these protocols, all staff will be required to wear masks, and restrooms will have hand sanitizer. Food will be allowed inside, but it must already be prepared.
MASKS: All venue staff are required to wear masks. Concertgoers are not required to wear masks in their assigned tailgate area, however, we encourage guests to wear masks if leaving their space to use the restroom facilities.
SANITIZING: Each restroom unit is equipped with hand sanitizer and each restroom cluster has a handwashing sink. Cleaning staff will also be sanitizing high-touch areas before, during and after the show, with increased frequency throughout the concerts.
While the lineup is more focused on singers and bands, this model could work for a dance music event as well.SOURCE Share0Share0Share0Share0

Venues around the world- even with the od performer or two live streaming inside on special occasions- haven’t seen a crowd in months. The National Arena Association, which owns 23 venues in the U.K., is considering a unique approach to ensuring safety: a disinfectant spray at entry. The association chair Lucy Noble thinks that venues need measures like this to increase the capacity of events to a size that is better for profits.
“Even if the two-meter social distancing rule is halved, venues would only be able to operate at 30% of their capacity – which would not be financially viable,” she says. “In order for us to break even, and therefore be sustainable as a charity, we typically need a capacity of around 90%.”
This might be the new normal for all future concerts, clubs, and festivals, if we want to see live music return as a ton of people, are eager to get back to the dance floor, but only if the disinfectant mists prove to be useful.
“The test case in Seoul–where a Phantom of the Opera production has continued running–has seen audience members walking through a light mist of disinfectant, having their temperature taken, and filling in a questionnaire about their symptoms and recent places they’ve visited,” Hassall told Mirror Online. “If we’re to find a solution, it is going to be a combination of numerous measures, from increased access points to hand sanitisers, Perspex screens and PPE for staff.”
We shall soon see if the United States will adopt this method by the end of 2020 or early 2021 as we’re currently seeing promoters starting to do Drive-In Concerts or Car Raves across the nation to help fill the voice of no live music.SOURCE Share0Share0Share0Share0

“Pow Pow Pow”, the newest and unprecedented collaboration between the Brazilian duo Chemical Surf and world-renowned producer / DJ Kaskade, has arrived via Kaskade’s own label Arkade.
“Pow Pow Pow” is the latest release of the brothers Lucas and Hugo, who have collaborated with one of the biggest names in dance music, the one and only Kaskade. This track is now available on all streaming platforms, presenting explosive bass and drops full of groove.
“We produced the first version of this song in 2017, with Hugo’s vocals, but we were not completely satisfied with the instrumental part of it so we never released it. With plenty of time to work in the studio due to the quarantine, we decided to modernize the song with a new drop. We sent the new version to Kaskade, who liked it a lot. So it made sense for him to work on “Pow Pow Pow” along with us. This collaboration has made the track perfect”, explain Lucas and Hugo.
“Pow Pow Pow” is one of those tracks that hits the dancefloor with a very high dose of energy, and through the dancefloors in our homes at this moment. This is possible due to the heavyweight and musical authenticity that the Brazilian duo shows in their production along with Kaskade’s experienced perspective.Kaskade · Kaskade & Chemical Surf – Pow Pow Pow Share0Share0Share0Share0

Gilt Nightclub in Orlando, Florida hosted Dirt Monkey in one of the first post-lockdown shows since March. With several states furiously limiting gatherings of this size, many eyes were on the event and what consequences may come for it. The event had masked staff and encouraged the smaller crowd to wear them as well. In addition, the staff washed their hands several times an hour and provided several hands sanitizing stations.
Despite these precautions, three staff members tested positive for COVID 19 following the event. “[the employees] were immediately removed from the schedule and instructed to quarantine according to CDC guidelines. We will continue to inform the public of our weekly test results every Monday until further notice,” said Gilt in an official statement. The club plans on continuing events, citing the need to provide levity in these chaotic times. Dirt monkey himself thought the event was exactly what people needed.
The U.S. is on a rocky recovery from COVID-19; while all states are loosening their stay-at-home orders, many are seeing a surge in cases. Don’t be surprised if we’re forced for another “Stay At Home” lockdown at the end of Summer or beginning of Fall if the numbers keep on rising.Share0Share0Share0Share0

Poppin bottles in the house and making “bored in the house” TikToks have been a real pleasure to see and be a part of but the stay at home party is just not cutting it for some folks and with states starting to reopen people are READY. According to Guest of a Guest, L.A.’s Penthouse Day Club had their “soft” opening this weekend with it being everything but “soft”.
The establishment opened its doors Sunday morning and guests could come to enjoy some brunch and more importantly the mimosas. A reservation was required and parties were maxed out at parties of 10. Limited seating, reservations, employees wearing protective gear, seems like everything would be super safe. Although, the real threat really comes from the crown of people who are not following the CDC guidelines as no make are seen being worn within the crowd of people. One of the bottle service perks that a guest took advantage of booking was paying $20,000 to have two beautiful women with bottles pop out of a… coffin?! Yes, a coffin. For guests who are scratching their itch to go out and burn a hole in their pocket, this was probably a great IG post to share. For the nearly 120,000 lives that have been claimed by the virus in the United States and their loved ones who are seeing this, I’m sure we are on the same disappointing stance.
Guest of a Guest – In the midst of a deadly pandemic and ongoing protests, restrictions on areas of commerce previously dubbed “nonessential” have been lifting across the country, finally answering the question on everybody’s mind: What does a nightclub look like in a dystopia?
Apparently, it looks like scantily clad servers wearing face masks and popping bottles while popping out of coffins. Hmm… sure, that sounds ridiculous enough to be true considering, well, *gestures broadly.*
Such was the actual scene at L.A.’s Penthouse Day Club, which opened its doors this Sunday for the first time since California lockdowns began back in March. The “soft reopening” came in the form of a brunch party wherein table reservations were mandatory and individual groups were capped at 10 people.
And though face masks seemed to dot the crowd, and appeared to be diligently worn by club employees, any valiant attempts at social distancing were clearly futile. Of course, the measurements between partygoers isn’t nearly as alarming as the literal CASKET being paraded around for reasons unbeknownst to us. Could it be a cheeky reference to the risk people are taking with their lives in order to sip some overpriced Armand de Brignac? Or maybe a fun way to commemorate the hundreds of thousands of people who’ve died from COVID worldwide? Whatever the case, we sure hope that roughly $20,000 spectacle was worth it!
How do you feeling about LA clubs opening and having them operate like this? Will you be back in the club asap or wait it out?

The rules of social media go as follows, and any move a person does on social media never fails to have a reason why behind it. Every retweet, like, share, and post. Sometimes more importantly, what someone removes from their account. You know, scrolling through someone’s account, looking at all their pictures and posts, and noticing when they remove certain “content”. So what does it mean when someone clears almost the entirety of their account? What is that person was Skrillex?
Recently the world-famous artist Skrillex cleared all his posts from his Instagram account and only left two up. One is from December 2019 when he accidentally turned off the mixer mid-performance. The second and most recent being a clip of a song that featured Ty Dolla $ign, Ant Clemons, Virtual Riot, and activist/actress Nia Miranda where they speak out again police brutality.
Reddit users also noticed that on r/skrillex, he deleted all but six posts that date back from this past Saturday. The reasons still remain unclear as to why. Fans continue to guess and we will continue to wait to see what the next move is? Is it a new single? New EP? Or is Skrillex just doing a bit of spring cleaning? What is to come will be great and that is surely a guarantee!Share0Share0Share0Share0

This past week, 12th Planet was scheduled to host a live stream, Swamplex Next Level, but with the Black Lives Matter movement growing stronger each day, 12th Planet made the decision to postpone his show to give respect for the protests. After some reflection, he announced that the show is back on! Thursday, June 18th from 8pm – 10:30 pm PST Swamplex Next Level will be streaming live. He gives this explanation behind why he decided to go through with the online event:
“Dance music is universal and if there is one way I feel comfortable expressing myself, it’s by doing what I have been doing for the past 20 years, which is, play the music that I love so much for people that want to hear it.”
In his follow up, “For some, this may be just another Dubstep set, but for me and the team of people who worked hard on this show, it’s a result of some very smart and creatives coming together to do something innovative. Honestly, I just want to bring some fun to people even if for just a few hrs.”
What a great way to use your platform to express yourself and still give back to your fans and community. During the event, they will be taking donations and sending all proceeds to NAACP – Legal Defense Fund. The event will be streamed live on Insomniac’s channels.
