A song that deadmau5 has played out for a year is finally slated for release.
It's almost been a year to the day since deadmau5 began incorporating a fan-favorite ID into his sets. The iconic DJ/producer and mau5trap label head has now shared that the single's title is "Satrn," and that it will arrive by way of his own imprint this Friday, November 15th.
Bright, ambient-inspired chords set "Satrn" apart from other deadmau5 (real name Joel Zimmerman) releases. Seeing as how Zimmerman has remained relatively quiet on the release front in 2019, the announcement might give fans hope for more to come.
Zimmerman's 2008 effort Random Album Title established him as a household name in the electronic music world and beyond. His follow-up album, For Lack of a Better Name, further cemented his legacy with memorable singles like "Ghosts 'n' Stuff," "Strobe" and "Hi Friend."
Meanwhile, Zimmerman will continue the cube v3 tour with a performance at Revention Music Center in Houston, Texas on Thursday, November 14th.FOLLOW DEADMAU5:
WAKAAN supply us with more bassy goodness this week, and this brand new release is a collaboration from LSDREAM and Shlump. Both artists have appeared on the label previously, and again sound sharp with Universal Wub.
A four-piece affair, there is a drifting introduction that ensures you are taken by surprise when it descends into dark drops. We love the chopped up vibes of ‘ORGANISM,’ before the pacy ‘R.A.V.E’ revs up the intensity with wonky splurges of melody. Closing here is ‘STARCHILD’ ft. Sarah Hudson, bringing rhythmical freshness with a clean drive.

Moby is wearing his commitment to veganism on his sleeves.
Quite literally, as he now has a boldly stated “ANIMAL RIGHTS” tattoo running down each of his arms in block letters. He also has “VEGAN FOR LIFE” tattooed on his neck from a previous session.
In the post below, Moby shares:
As November is my 32 year vegan anniversary i thought i’d get a tattoo (well, technically 12 tattoos) to celebrate. I’m a vegan animal rights activist for many reasons, but ultimately because i believe at the core of my being that every animal has the right to live their own life, according to their own will. Thanks @thekatvond Highvoltagetattoo #veganforlife #animalrights
Famed tattoo artist Kat Von D did the work. She’s known for starring in TLC’s reality television show LA Ink and being engaged to Deadmau5 (they broke up in 2013).

Moby got the tattoos to celebrate his 32nd anniversary of becoming vegan.
It will be difficult for Moby to raise the bar on his recent "VEGAN FOR LIFE" neck tattoo, but his latest piece of body art comes close. The singer/songwriter and composer now has the words "ANIMAL RIGHTS" permanently written in a large font across his arms.
"As November is my 32 year vegan anniversary i thought i’d get a tattoo (well, technically 12 tattoos) to celebrate," Moby (real name Richard Melville Hall) wrote in an Instagram post. "I’m a vegan animal rights activist for many reasons, but ultimately because i believe at the core of my being that every animal has the right to live their own life, according to their own will."
As with his last tattoo, celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D (real name Katherine Von Drachenberg) was tasked with the body modification.
Moby has yet to announce a follow-up album to Long Ambients 2, his latest album which came out in March of this year.FOLLOW MOBY:

EDC Orlando attendees were treated to Alison Wonderland's rendition of Flume's recent single.
It appears Alison Wonderland may be making new music debuts an annual EDC Orlando tradition. The Australian DJ/producer dropped an Ariana Grande flip and a Dillon Francis collab at the 2018 edition. This year, she unleashed an edit of Flume's "Rushing Back."
In a video clip shared by Alison Wonderland (real name Alexandra Sholler) via social media, Vera Blue's unforgettable vocal can be heard loud and clear. The drop, however, is Sholler's single "Okay," which appeared on her 2018 album, Awake.
Sholler quickly became a favorite among EDM fans in the wake of her 2015 album, Run. In the years since, she's reached international audiences with billings at world-class festivals like EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland and Electric Forest.
On Saturday, November 16th, Sholler will kick off her Wonderland Warehouse Party Worldwide event series with a sold-out event in Los Angeles. For information on other events in the series, visit the official website.FOLLOW ALISON WONDERLAND:

Police say Carlos Perez-Hernandez pickpocketed more than $20,000 worth of phones.
Pickpocketing has run rampant throughout the festival circuit as of late, and the 2019 edition of EDC Orlando was apparently no exception. According to authorities, one man is suspected of stealing at least 34 phones valued at over $20,000 on Sunday, November 10th.Carlos Perez-Hernandez
Police apprehended Carlos Perez-Hernandez after festivalgoers told them that a man in a tie-dyed hoodie was taking people's phones from their pockets near the Kinetic Field stage. Perez-Hernandez allegedly told them he didn't know how many phones he had but they all belonged to him.
Authorities say all the phones had been set to airplane mode so that their owners could not track them. Of the 34 phones, they could only identify the owners of three of them and are holding onto the rest as evidence.
A spokesperson on behalf of EDC Orlando was not immediately available to respond to EDM.com's request for comment.

Karenn’s debut LP comes a whole eight years after the thwapping techno outfit, made up of Blawan and Pariah, dropped their first release. While eight years in electronic music tends to feel more like 80, Grapefruit Regret falls among the exclusive field of albums that end up being well worth the extended wait.
Grapefruit Regret is eight tracks of menacing techno glory, chock-full of purring basslines and whirring synths ranging from 100-150 BPM. At the highest end of the spectrum is the blistering “Strawbs,” a modular jungle in its own right that shows the duo’s dedication to dancing to the beat of their own drum(s).
Ultimately, the album is a testament that techno isn’t tied to the slow-burn nature of the genre that people either love or hate it for. Central to that argument is “Crush the Mushrooms,” the LP’s lead single, which manages to be as effective of a ravenous club destroyer as it does a stylistic statement. A plethora of bass, as expressive as it is guttural, walks the strangely appeasing line between abrasive and melodic from play to pause, but the real success of the track is really in its ultimate flexibility, appeasing the underground technoheads while also sounding like it would find its way into a Boys Noize or even Dog Blood set.
Karenn will be closing out the year with a European tour of their esteemed live sets. Find the full tour schedule below.

Blond:ish‘s Bye Bye Plastic campaign is the subject of a new mini documentary directed by Jonathan Hyde and formally presented by Mutt Film. The short, seven-minute production chronicles the artist’s early introduction to music through the instruments in her childhood home—an old school cockpit, an amplifier, and a turntable—before delving into Bye Bye Plastic.
Blond:ish’s initiative was conceived during a stint in Brazil that situated her behind the decks of Brazil’s Warung Beach Club. Set against a backdrop of a Brazilian sunrise, the “mountain of water bottles” that would go on to inspire Bye Bye Plastic caught the producer’s eye. For Blond:ish, the juxtaposition was glaringly apparent.
Bye Bye Plastic’s aim is simple: eradication of single-use plastics, such as straws, cups, and bottles, from the electronic music industry by 2025. The documentary highlights the ways that Blond:ish is not only working towards this long term goal herself, but also how she encourages others, DJ’s and attendees alike, to do the same.

FKA twigs has released her highly anticipated sophomore album, Magdalene, which features a stacked lineup of producers like Skrillex, Nicholas Jaar, Cashmere Cat, Sounwave, Benny Blanco, Noah Goldstein, Jack Antonoff, Kenny Beats, and many other talented sound engineers.
The follow-up to her 2014 LP1 was announced during the summer, with the release of “holy terrain” featuring Future. She revealed the album was a three-year project made during a period of physical and emotional recovery, and it’s about every lover she’s ever had and will continue to have. It’s a fragile piece with a sense of defiance and strength at the same time, partially inspired by Mary Magdalene’s story.
Magdalene is a nine-track work alongside the previously released singles “Cellophane,” “home with you,” “holy terrain,” and “sad day.”
